Police charge man after fireworks located in garage

A man has been charged after police located almost 200kg of fireworks at a home on the Central Coast today.

About 11.10am (Wednesday 11 March 2020), a search warrant was executed at an address on Fagans Road, Lisarow – north of Gosford.

Officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District allegedly located 11 boxes of fireworks inside a garage, weighing almost 200kg.

Also located, were four large, vacuum-sealed bags allegedly containing 4.7kg of cannabis.

A 42-year-old man was arrested and taken to Woy Woy Police Station where he was charged with handle explosive/precursor without authorising, possess prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug, and cultivate prohibited plant.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Gosford Local Court on Thursday 16 April 2020.
