Police charge man after Flynn fatal last year

A man has been charged following a fatal collision in Flynn on Friday, 17 June 2022.

Officers were told a man stopped his car on the Princes Highway, near the intersection of Rights Lane, to assist a motorist with a flat tyre.

An approaching Holden Rodeo allegedly struck the man, while he was standing on the roadway beside his car about 8.20am.

The 55-year-old Rosedale man died at the scene.

The driver of the Holden, a 24-year-old Rosedale man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, drive in a manner dangerous and careless driving.

He has been bailed to appear at La Trobe Valley Magistrates' Court on 21 June.
