Police charge man after Geelong burglary

Geelong Divisional Response Unit investigators have charged a man following a burglary in Geelong yesterday morning.

It is alleged the man broke into a warehouse on Fyans Street about 3.40am on Thursday, 8 December.

He attempted to flee the scene in a vehicle but was arrested nearby.

Police recovered around 40 items in his vehicle, worth about $1000.

Investigators later searched his home where further items, alleged to be stolen, were recovered.

The 21-year-old Corio man has been charged with nine counts of burglary and other property related offences.

He's been bailed to appear at Geelong Magistrates' Court on 7 March, 2023.
