Police charge man after glassing - Gregory Hills

A man has been charged over the alleged glassing of a man in Sydney's south west last night.

Just after midnight (Saturday 3 August 2019), police were called to a licenced premises on Gregory Hills Drive, Gregory Hills, after reports a man was struck in the face and neck with a glass, causing a serious wound.

A 27-year-old man was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition to undergo emergency surgery.

A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Narellan Police Station.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command established a crime scene, which was forensically examined.

Following inquiries, the older man was charged with wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 3 August 2019).

The men are believed to be known to each other.
