Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a stabbing in Keysborough yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services responded to reports of a man allegedly assaulted by another man at a secondary school about 3pm.
Police arrived on scene and arrested a 37-year-old Mulgrave man, all within nine minutes of receiving the call.
A 43-year-old Edithvale man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a stabbing.
He has since been released from hospital.
The man arrested was taken to hospital with a minor injury and under police guard.
He has since been charged with:
- Recklessly engage in conduct placing person in danger of serious injury
- Intentional cause injury
- Unlawful assault (x2)
- Assault with a weapon
The man will appear before Dandenong Magistrates' Court today.
Police will allege the pair are known to one another.
