Homicide Squad detectives have charged a 49-year-old man has a result of their investigation into an incident in Mirrabooka on Tuesday, 31 October 2023.
About 5pm, police were called to a home on McFarlane Circle where they located a 59-year-old man with injuries to his head. The victim was conveyed by ambulance to the Joondalup Health Campus.
The victim remains in hospital with critical head injuries.
It will be alleged an altercation occurred between the two men who are known to each other, resulting in the 59-year-old man being injured.
The 49-year-old man from Mirrabooka was charged with Grievous Bodily Harm and he is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 2 November 2023.
