Police Charge Man After Pursuit - Bidwill

A man will face court over a pursuit in Sydney's west overnight.

Just after 11.15pm yesterday (Saturday 13 December 2025), officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were patrolling on Carlisle Avenue, Blackett, when they located a white sedan, being driven in a dangerous manner.

A short time later, the vehicle stopped on Middleton Crescent, Bidwill, and police approached to the vehicle to speak to the driver however, it allegedly accelerated, and a pursuit was initiated before extra resources from Mount Druitt Police Area Command were called.

The pursuit continued through Discovery Avenue, Willmot, where the driver abandoned the vehicle and the driver left the scene on foot.

Following inquiries, about 11.30pm on the same day, police arrested a 27-year-old man on Dewitt Place, Willmot.

A subsequent check revealed the man was a disqualified driver.

He was taken to Mount Druitt Police Station where he was charged with police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously, and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.

He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 6 today (Sunday 14 December 2025).
