Police charge man after search finds shotgun, weapons

Police have charged a man following the alleged discovery of weapons at a house in Endeavour Hills yesterday.

Detectives from the Divisional Response Unit in Springvale executed a search warrant at a house on Tarbet Court about 7am on Thursday.

A 37-year-old Endeavour Hills man was arrested, and the search allegedly found a sawn-off shotgun, ammunition, other weapons and quantities of methylamphetamine and cannabis.

The search followed the alleged discovery of ammunition and weapons in a bag at a department store on Overland Drive in Narre Warren on 12 April.

The Endeavour Hills man has since been charged with prohibited person possess a firearm, possess ammunition, possession of a drug of dependence and commit indicatable offence whilst on bail.

He has been remanded to appear before the Dandenong Magistrates' Court at a later date.
