Police Charge Man For Threatening - Bondi Junction

A man has been charged after allegedly threatening a woman in Sydney's east yesterday.

Just after 6.20am on Wednesday (6 March 2024), police were called to an educational facility on High Street, Kensington, after a female member of staff reported she had been threatened by a man, armed with a knife.

Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command have been told the woman escaped without injury and reported the incident to police.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the incident has commenced.

Following extensive inquiries, police arrested a 30-year-old man at an address on Newland Street, Bondi Junction, about 1.25pm on Wednesday (6 March 2024).

Police also seized a knife at the scene.

He was taken to Maroubra Police Station where he was charged with threat inflict aggravated bodily harm on victim with intention to have sex intercourse, robbery armed with offensive weapon, common assault, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm, aggravated break and enter with intention – armed, and destroy or damage property.

He was refused bail to appear at Waverley Local Court today (Thursday 7 March 2024).
