Police Charge Man Over Inappropriate Images Of Females

Officers from Midland Detectives have charged a man as a result of their investigation into allegations he took inappropriate images of women without their permission.

It will be alleged in December 2023, the accused used his mobile phone at a shopping centre in Karrinyup, to record vision under the skirt of a female whilst inside a store.

It will be further alleged in January 2024, the man used his mobile phone in an attempt to take images of a female teenager as she was changing in an adjoining change room of a clothing store located within a shopping centre in Midland.

On 17 January 2024, detectives executed a search warrant at the man's residence and his electronic devices were seized. A forensic analysis of the electronic equipment identified a number of images of women partially naked or undressed taken whilst they were in change room stalls. Further images appear to have been taken in various gyms and shopping centres across the Perth metropolitan area.

The 33-year-old man from Menora has been charged with:

• Two counts of Indecent Acts in Public.

He is due to appear before the Midland Magistrates Court on 2 April 2024.
