Police arrested a man at Pimpama yesterday, Sunday 24 May, in relation to a car which was stolen from Indooroopilly last week.
It will be alleged that around 4.30am on Friday 22 May, a man gained entry to an Indooroopilly residence and stole a silver 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan station-wagon.
Around 12.30am yesterday, Sunday 24 May, police sighted the Volkswagen and tracked it south to the Gold Coast.
It will be alleged that the male driver abandoned the stolen Volkswagen on Waterclover Drive at Upper Coomera, before he was picked up by a second vehicle which police continued to track to a Pimpama residence.
The alleged Volkswagen driver was arrested at the scene around 1.20am.
A 19-year-old Pimpama man has now been charged with one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicles, receiving tainted property, driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence and disobeying the speed limit.
He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on 16 June.

Police will target high-harm offenders and work closely with partner agencies to ensure offenders are held accountable. With a strong focus on crime prevention, police will be highly visible as they prevent, disrupt and investigate offending, with particular emphasis on unlawful use, robbery and unlawful entry.
The operation will be locally led and centrally coordinated, leveraging the knowledge and experience of officers who know their communities best.
