Police charge man with break, enter and steal offences at St George

A man will appear in court today after being arrested and charged with several break, enter and steal offences across Sydney.

Since July 2017 police have been searching for a man in relation to several break, enter and steal offences allegedly committed at Picnic Point, Kingsgrove, Canterbury and Beverley Hills.

Investigators searched for a silver Mercedes sedan that was stolen earlier this year and located the vehicle on Thursday 11 April 2019, in Punchbowl.

Following further inquiries, a 44-year-old man was arrested on Friday 12 April 2019 as he entered the vehicle.

The Mercedes was seized for further examination along with a number of items located in the vehicle.

About 4.20pm yesterday (Friday 12 April 2019), investigators executed a search warrant at a home unit in Rossmore Avenue at Punchbowl.

Investigators from St George Police Area Command seized numerous items of property including, mobile phones, gold watches, jewellery and cameras which are believed to be the proceeds of break and enter offences.

The man was conveyed to Bankstown Police Station and was charged with aggravated break, enter & steal (x3) and an outstanding warrant.

The man was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 13 April 2019).
