Police charge man with drug supply at Nelligen

A man has been charged with drug supply following a vehicle stop in the state's south east.

About 3pm Saturday (12 October 2019) a 47-year-old man was stopped by police on the Kings Highway at Nelligen.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District searched the man and his car, locating drugs, an electronic control device and a folding knife.

The man was arrested before being taken to Batemans Bay Police Station, where he was charged with supply prohibited drug greater than indictable less than commercial quantity, three counts of possess prohibited drug, possess prohibited weapon, possess knife in a public place and drive whilst disqualified.

The man was refused bail and appeared before Batemans Bay Local Court yesterday (13 October 2019). and reappeared at Batemans Bay Local Court today (Monday 14 October 2019).
