Police charge man with proceeds of crime, drug supply offences at Wollongong

A man has been charged with drug supply and various stealing offences near Wollongong.

About 11.30am yesterday (Wednesday 23 October 2019) officers attached to Wollongong Police District attended a home in Bellambi.

A 35-year-old man was arrested for two outstanding warrants related to dealing with property proceeds of crime.

During the course of the arrest, police observed a motorbike believed to be stolen.

Police declared the premises a crime scene and executed a crime scene warrant.

Officers located and seized a motorcycle bearing false number plates that was believed to be stolen, drugs, cash, mobile phones, scales and a can of capsicum spray.

The man was taken to Wollongong Police Station where he was later charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug and two counts of deal with property proceeds of crime.

The man was also served with a Firearms Prohibition Order and Weapons Prohibition Order.

The man was refused bail and appeared before Wollongong Local Court yesterday (Wednesday 23 October 2019). He is due to re-appear before Wollongong Local Court on 3 December 2019.
