Police Charge Men After Attempting To ATM In Collie

Bunbury Detectives have charged two men after their investigation into several incidents that occurred in Collie between 12:05am and 3:30am on Sunday, 22 June 2025.

It is alleged the men gained entry into the yard and workshop area of a business on Marshall Street where they attempted to steal a Holden Rodeo utility. They were unable to start the vehicle and allegedly stole other items before departing the property.

Next, the men allegedly gained entry to a business located on Harris River Road where they stole a white Isuzu truck.

About 3:30am, the men allegedly used the stolen Isuzu truck to force entry into a shopping centre located on Johnston Street. It is further alleged whilst in the shopping centre, the men attempted to steal an automatic teller machine (ATM).

They were unsuccessful but during the incident the ATM and shopping centre were extensively damaged.

The stolen truck was later located burnt out at a cemetery on the Coalfields Highway.

The men from Collie and aged 34 and 38, were each charged with the below eight offences:

• 2 x Aggravated Burglary on a Place

• 1 x Criminal Damage or Destruction of Property

• 1 x Steal Motor vehicle

• 1 x Attempted to Steal Motor Vehicle

• 1 x Criminal Damage by Fire

• 1 x Stealing

• 1 x Attempted Stealing

Both were remanded in custody and are next due to appear in the Bunbury Magistrates Court on 31 July 2025.
