Police have charged a 15-year-old boy following an alleged assault involving another teenager at a school in Manunda yesterday, 21 July.
It will be alleged that around 11am, the 15-year-old approached a 16-year-old boy in the school grounds before an altercation occurred.
Police will further allege the 15-year-old threatened the 16-year-old with scissors before assaulting him, causing facial and back injuries.
The 15-year-old, who does not attend the school, was arrested by police following a search warrant at a Manunda address today, 22 July.
He has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed.
The boy is due to appear before Cairns Children's Court on 6 August.
