A teenager has been charged with multiple offences including police pursuit and 'post and boast' offences in the state's south.
About 4.10am on Friday 19 December 2025, a vehicle was allegedly stolen from the driveway of a home in Alpine Place, South Nowra.
The home owner was disturbed and called police.
About 4.18pm, officers attached to South Coast Police District responded and sighted the alleged stolen vehicle on Hillcrest Ave, South Nowra, travelling in the opposite direction.
A short time later police came across the car which had struck a construction fence on Somerset Avenue, South Nowra.
The car allegedly reversed into the front of the police car.
When the driver allegedly failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated.
A short time later, the car mounted a kerb on Osprey Road, South Nowra and came to a stop.
The 17-year-old female driver was arrested at the scene.
She was taken to Nowra Police Station and charged with 10 offences,
- Two counts of be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner
- Two counts of commit s 154A offence and disseminate
- Learner not accompanied by driver/police officer/tester
- Police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously
- Two counts of not give particulars to owner of damaged property
- Not give particulars to other driver, and
- Enter vehicle or boat without consent of owner.
She appeared in a Children's Court on Friday 19 December 2025, where she was formally refused bail to reappear in a Children's Court on Thursday 24 December 2025.
