Police charge teen after Ringwood stabbing

Maroondah Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a teenager following a stabbing in Ringwood this morning.

Officers located a 21-year-old man with a stab wound outside a licensed premises on Maroondah Highway just before 3am.

The Kilsyth man was taken to hospital in a critical condition but is now stable.

An 18-year-old Kalorama man was arrested and has been charged with intentionally cause serious injury.

He was bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court at a later date.

Police will allege both parties are known to each other.
