Police Charge Teens After Werribee Home Invasion

Police have charged two teenagers following an alleged aggravated burglary in Werribee early this morning.

It is alleged two male offenders, armed with weapons, forced entry to a property on Otterham Way about 1.15am.

The pair allegedly assaulted a male occupant home at the time.

The 48-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains.

The two males allegedly stole car keys from the property and attempted to steal a car.

Police responded and blocked the vehicle before arresting a boy at the scene.

A second boy allegedly fled on foot and was arrested nearby.

Two boys, aged 14 and 15-years-old, both from the Wyndham area, have been charged with home invasion, assault and theft of a motor vehicle.

They will appear before a children's court today where police will make an application for remand.
