Police charge three man after firearm discharged in Langford

Cannington Detectives have charged three men as a result of their extensive investigation into an armed robbery in Langford on 19 April 2020.

It is alleged around 9.30am, a man in his 30s, driving a vehicle, was followed into his driveway on Towton Way by a black coloured Honda Accord sedan occupied by the three men.

It is further alleged one of the men confronted the victim and stole a number of items from his vehicle. A firearm was allegedly discharged into the victim's vehicle and a knife was used to deflate the vehicle's tyres.

On 24 April 2020, a 28-year-old man from Spearwood was arrested by detectives and on 2 May 2020, a 25-year-old man from Girrawheen was arrested by detectives. Both were arrested at their homes and charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery. They are next due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 15 July 2020.

The third offender, a 30-year-old man from Balga was arrested by detectives during a vehicle stop in Balcatta on 7 May 2020. He was charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery; Discharge a Firearm to Cause Fear; and No Authority to Drive. He is next due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court on 11 May 2020.
