Police charge two after seizure of drugs, cash and weapons in Chelsea

Caulfield Divisional Response Unit detectives have charged a man and a woman with various offences following the execution of a search warrant in Chelsea today.

Investigators executed the warrant at an address on Thames Promenade about 8am and allegedly located more than $50,000 cash, a large quantity of methylamphetamine, magic mushrooms, ketamine, cocaine, a taser, imitation firearm and other drugs.

Two people were arrested at the scene.

A 32-year-old Chelsea man was charged with various offences including trafficking methylamphetamine, possess prohibited weapon, and deal with property suspected proceeds of crime.

He was bailed to appear at the Frankston Magistrates' Court on 5 May 2022.

A 28-year-old Chelsea woman was charged with various offences including trafficking methylamphetamine, possess prohibited weapon, deal with property suspected proceeds of crime, and commit indictable offence while on bail.

She was remanded in custody to appear at the Frankston Magistrates' Court on 26 November.
