Police charge two men after Brendan Farrell disappearance

Detectives from the Missing Persons Squad have charged two people today in relation to the suspicious disappearance of Doveton man Brendon Farrell.

A 30-year-old Hampton Park man and a 49-year-old Noble Park man were arrested yesterday and have since been charged.

The Hampton Park man has been charged with murder while the Noble Park man has been charged with accessory to murder.

Both men are expected to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court this afternoon.

A post mortem is being conducted to formally identify human remains which were located at an address in Noble Park last night.

Quotes attributable to Assistant Commissioner Robert Hill, Crime Command:

"This has been yet another complex investigation conducted by detectives from the Missing Persons Squad and the outcome thus far is testament to their commitment.

"Our thoughts are with Brendon's family and loved ones following what has no doubt been a very difficult and traumatic few weeks.

"The investigation remains ongoing and again we encourage anyone with information who hasn't already spoken to police to come forward."
