Police Charge Two Men After Shooting At Liverpool

Two men have been charged after a man was injured in an alleged shooting earlier this week.

About 12.40pm on Tuesday 29 September 2026, emergency services were called to a unit complex on Charles Street, Liverpool, following reports of a shooting.

Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and located a 32-year-old man suffering a gunshot wound to his leg.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

A crime scene was established, and detectives commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following extensive inquiries, investigators arrested two men – aged 39 and 44 – at a hotel in Strathfield yesterday (Thursday 1 October 2026).

The 39-year-old man was taken to Auburn Police Station and charged with accessory after the fact to discharge firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court today (Friday 2 October 2026).

The 44-year-old man was taken to Bankstown Police Station and charged with discharge firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He was refused bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court today (Friday 2 October 2026).

Investigations into the incident continue.
