About 2.15pm on Sunday 27 October 2019, police were called to a unit on Seymour Street, Tweed Heads South, following reports of an aggravated break and enter.

It’s alleged a man – armed with a baseball bat – and a woman entered the home and stole a mobile phone, a laptop computer, a gaming device and personal items, before fleeing in a vehicle.

Following extensive inquiries, police executed a search warrant at a unit on Hastings Street, Bogangar, shortly before 1pm yesterday (Monday 4 November 2019).

During the search, police allegedly located and seized a mobile phone, credit cards and documents.

A man and a woman – both aged 20 – were arrested at the home and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station.

The pair – from Woodbridge in Queensland – were both charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence.

The man was refused bail to appear at Tweed Heads Local Court today (Tuesday 5 November 2019).

The woman was granted conditional bail to appear at Tweed Heads Local Court on Monday 2 December 2019.
