Police charge two people after stabbing - Albion Park

A teenage boy and a woman have been charged following a stabbing at Albion Park Rail on New Year's Eve.

About 5pm (Thursday 31 December 2020), emergency services were called to a home on the Princes Highway after reports a man had been stabbed.

Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District attended the scene and found a 17-year-old boy with a stab wound to his shoulder.

A crime scene was established by detectives.

The boy was treated on scene before being taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.

Following inquiries, a 17-year-old boy and a 30-year-old woman were arrested at the scene and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station.

The 17-year-old boy was charged with armed with intent to commit indictable offence, and reckless wounding in company.

He was given conditional bail to appear at a children's court on Tuesday 19 January 2021.

The 30-year-old woman was charged with common assault.

She was given conditional bail to appear at Port Kembla Local Court on Wednesday 17 February 2021.
