Police charge two people with drug and weapon offences

Karratha Detectives have charged a further two people as part of their ongoing operation that commenced in February 2020, targeting those responsible for the distribution of illegal drugs within the community.

Yesterday, 17 April 2020, Karratha Detectives with the assistance of Perth metropolitan detective and specialist units, police conducted a vehicle stop on Morrison Road in Midland.

Further to the above, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Morrison Road in Midland and it is alleged during the search, police located and seized a shotgun, ammunition, cash, drug paraphernalia, Cannabis and a liquid believed to be GHB.

A 29-year-old man from Midland was charged with drug and breach of bail offences, and a 47-year-old woman from Forrestfield was charged with drug and weapon offences.

They are both due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court (Northbridge) today, Saturday 18 April 2020.
