Police charge woman after Eastern Freeway crash

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman following a serious collision in North Balwyn last week.

It is alleged the stolen Subaru with four occupants on board was travelling on the Eastern Freeway when it struck a barrier at the Bulleen road exit about 10.55pm on 2 September.

The 20-year-old female driver, and her three passengers, a 21-year-old Seaford man, an 18-year-old Springvale South man and a 19-year-old man from Noble Park, were all taken to hospital following the crash.

MCIU detectives have charged the Caulfield woman with dangerous driving causing serious injury, she has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 14 September.
