Yarra Youth Membership Update

We've updated our Yarra Youth membership eligible age range to include members aged 12 to 24.

What are the new age requirements?

Yarra Youth membership is now available for ages 12 to 24 to allow extended access to all the benefits. A Yarra Youth membership grants full access to the gym, group exercise classes, and aquatic facilities for just $24.50 per fortnight.

How do I sign up?

You'll need to sign up in person at your nearest centre so we can confirm your eligibility. Please bring valid ID or supporting documentation with you.

If you are over 18 and currently on one of our other membership tiers, you can change to a Yarra Youth membership at one of our centres.

Do I need to complete anything before using the gym?

New Yarra Youth members must complete an assessment with a gym instructor before using the gym.

Do I need parental consent?

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must be present to sign your membership form and Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire when you join. Parental consent is also required for any membership changes if you are aged 16 to 17.

Are there any facility restrictions?

Members under 16 are not permitted to access the spa, sauna, or steam room areas.

Do I need to wear a wristband?

Ages 12 to 15

An orange wristband must be worn at all times. Please return your purple wristband on your next visit to receive a replacement free of charge.

Ages 16 to 17

Wristbands must also be worn at all times while in the centre.

Ages 18 to 24

No additional requirements apply you can continue to enjoy all Yarra Youth membership benefits.

What happens when I turn 24?

You will need to transfer to a full membership at this time.
