Police charge woman after Seaford incident

Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 27-year-old Fairfield woman following an incident in Seaford yesterday afternoon.

The woman has been charged with:

• Intentionally exposing an emergency worker to risk driving (x4);

• intentionally causing serious injury;

• Reckless conduct endangering life; and

• Assault related offences.

She was remanded and will appear at Melbourne Magistrates court today.

The charges following an incident that occurred on Ballarto Road about 2.40pm after police were called for a welfare check on a woman in a vehicle.

It is alleged the woman drove her vehicle into the police officers, pinning a male officer against a wall and then running over the leg of a policewoman before driving off.

Both officers were taken to hospital for treatment.
