Police charge woman over Glenelg North fire, South Australia

A Plympton Park woman has been arrested and charged with arson following a fire at a Glenelg North apartment block earlier this month.

Police will allege just before 4am on Wednesday 6 February, police and fire crews were called to a fire in a building on the North Esplanade.

A unit sustained significant damage from the fire, while several other properties were affected by smoke and water damage.

Last night (Thursday 21 February) Detectives from Western District CIB who were investigating the incident, arrested and charged a 51-year-old woman with aggravated serious criminal trespass and arson.

The arrested woman was refused police bail and appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
