Police charge woman with murder at Camperdown

A woman has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Sydney's inner west.

On Saturday 28 September 2019, police were called to an apartment complex on Pyrmont Bridge Road, Camperdown about 8pm following reports of a male screaming.

Officers from Leichhardt Police Area Command attended to find a 25-year old man with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man's death commenced.

Yesterday (Sunday 29 September 2019), police returned to execute a warrant inside a unit at the apartment block.

The occupant, a 30-year-old woman, was arrested and taken to Newtown Police Station where she was charged with murder.

She was refused bail to appear at Newtown Local Court today (Monday 30 September 2019).
