Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a suspicious building fire in Sunshine from earlier this year.
Officers were told a commercial premises on Devonshire Road was set alight on Saturday 25 February about 4am.
The fire quickly spread and destroyed two businesses and extensively damaged a further three businesses before it was extinguished.
Investigators have released CCTV footage and an image of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
Detectives are also investigating whether the same man was involved in a burglary and theft committed on an adjacent business, a greengrocer, prior to the fire being lit.
