Police are appealing for public assistance as an investigation into an assault at a train station in Sydney's west continues.
Just after 5.45pm on Tuesday 5 August 2025, police were called to Guilford Railway Station following reports of an assault.
Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were told a 40-year-old man was assaulted by three men – not known to him – on the platform.
The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for head injuries at the scene.
A short time later, officers attached Police Transport Command were called to commence an investigation into the incident.
As inquiries continue, police have released images of three men who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
The first man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, aged between 18-20, long brown shoulder length hair. He is depicted wearing a black jumper, black pants and black sneakers.
The second man is described as being of African appearance, aged between 18-20, with black curly hair. He is depicted wearing a black jumper and grey pants.
The third man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 18-20, of thin build. He is seen wearing a grey jacket, white pants, white shoes and glasses.
