Police investigate armed robbery at Mansfield 1 January

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a business in Mansfield last night.

Around 11.50pm on New Year's Eve two men entered the Luprena Street venue, one producing a firearm and making demands for money from a female employee, who complied. The second man broke down a side door of the venue and stole a sum of money.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The men, both around 185cm tall and with solid builds left the scene in a stolen Black Toyota RAV 4, Queensland registration 502VYG, which was later found burnt out in Valance Street, Oxley.

Anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage in or around Luprena Street between 11.30pm and 12.10am is urged to contact police.
