Police are investigating an assault that occurred in Collingwood in May that left the victim with facial injuries.
Investigators have been told a 33-year-old man was followed into a licensed premises on Easey Street on 8 May about 12.50am by an unknown man.
The man sat in a booth with a female he does not know, the unknown male offender approached them and started to punch the victim in the face multiple times before he left on foot.
The offender is perceived to be of middle eastern appearance, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, 180cm tall, a full beard and curly hair tied up in a bun.
He was wearing a grey jacket, black pants and grey shoes.
The victim was taken to hospital and treated for nose fractures, broken teeth and a concussion.
Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
