Police investigate burglaries in Geelong area

Geelong Divisional Response Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify a man following an aggravated burglary and attempted burglaries in the Geelong area.

Police have been told a man wearing a face mask forced entry to a property on Dane Avenue in Bell Post Hill just before 3am on 1 February.

Residents were home at the time, and nothing has been identified as stolen.

Investigators believe the same man is linked to a number of attempted burglaries in the Bell Post Hill, Rippleside and Highton areas between the hours of 2.30am and 4.30am.

The incidents have occurred between 29 January and 7 February.

While there has been no damage to property or items stolen, the behaviour is unusual.

Detectives have made a number of enquires to identify the man and believe he is Caucasian, about 30-40-years-old, thin build and about 180 cm tall.

Investigators have released images and CCTV or a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
