Police investigate dual burglaries in Ballarat

Investigators from the Ballarat Divisional Response Unit are investigating a series of burglaries in Ballarat.

Police believe two men committed the two separate burglaries on 31 January.

The two offenders entered a bakery on Pleasant Street North about 12.45am.

The men entered the store after breaking the front glass window before attempting to open the cash register but fled shortly after.

The same two men later entered a trade store on Humffray Street about 1.30am.

The offenders entered the premises by breaking a front window causing extensive damage before stealing a laptop and fleeing.

The men are believed to have been driving a red hatchback with a black bonnet while committing these offences.

The first man is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance with solid build approximately 183cm tall.

He was wearing a dark coloured Ghanda hooded jumper and light coloured shorts with black and white runners.

The second man is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance with a thin build approximately 177cm tall.

He was wearing a black coloured baseball cap with a t-shirt and grey track suit pants also wearing black and white runners.

Investigators have released images of two men who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
