Police investigate fatal collision in Ivanhoe

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred in Ivanhoe this morning.

Officers have been told a pedestrian was struck by a car on Upper Heidelberg Road about 8am on Saturday 24 December.

Emergency services attended but unfortunately the female pedestrian, believed to be in her 70s, could not be revived.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and he is assisting police with their enquires.
