Police investigate nail gun theft

Craigieburn police are investigating the theft of a nail gun in Craigieburn last month.

Investigators have been told a man entered a Hume Highway store just before 4pm on Sunday, 26 July.

The man asked a staff member to select a Paslode nail gun before continuing to further browse throughout the store with the item.

He then went to the self-serve checkout and paid for items without scanning the nail gun which was worth approximately $900.

As he was leaving the store, a staff member challenged him to pay for the nail gun however he ignored them and exited the store.

He was then seen leaving the car park in a vehicle, possibly a silver Ford Falcon.

The man is perceived to be of Islander appearance, with a solid build and aged in his mid-30s.

He had a tribal tattoo on his right forearm and tattoo writing on his left forearm

Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
