A man has been arrested after a fatal stabbing in North Melbourne this morning.
Police were called to Sutton Street about 11.40am where they attended inside an apartment and located a man with stab wounds.
Emergency Services commenced CPR before the man was transported to hospital where he died.
Critical Incident Response Team officers deployed non-lethal force to subdue a man who was taken into custody.
The 30-year-old Dallas man is currently assisting police with their enquires.
Officers believe the two parties were known to each other.
Homicide Squad Detectives are on scene.
