Police investigate serious assault at Caloundra

Police are seeking public assistance to identify a man who may be able to assist with inquiries into a serious assault in Caloundra last month.

At 11pm on June 10, a 50-year-old Moffat Beach man was on the dancefloor of a bar situated on the Esplanade.

Another man approached and punched him causing him to fall and lose consciousness after hitting his head on the floor.

The man sustained a large laceration to his head requiring 11 staples and had to be hospitalised.

Anyone who may recognise the man pictured or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact police
