Police Investigate Serious Assault At Victoria Point

Police are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into a serious assault in Victoria Point this morning, 25 August.

Shortly before 1.30am, initial investigations suggest a group of armed people attempted to break into an Albatross Street property, when they were confronted by a resident.

The resident, a 46-year-old man, was stabbed several times, and the group fled the scene.

The 46-year-old man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Investigations are ongoing to determine whether it was a targeted offence.
