Police investigate sexual assault in Sunshine

Sexual Crimes Squad detectives are appealing for public assistance following a sexual assault at a licensed premise in Sunshine last year.

Police have been told a woman was sexually assaulted by an unknown man wearing a Lakers jersey at the venue on McIntyre Road sometime between midnight and 2am on Sunday 20 October.

The man is perceived to be Pacific Islander in appearance, aged 20 to 22-years-old, 167cm tall with short dark hair and an athletic build.

He was wearing a purple Lakers jersey with the number 23 and ‘James’ written on the back.

Detectives would also like to speak to a second man seen with the man at the venue on the night.

Investigators have released images of two men who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
