Police investigate stabbing at Hurstville

A man has been injured following an incident at Hurstville overnight.

About 8.20pm yesterday (Tuesday 2 February 2021) emergency services were called to Gloucester Road, Hurstville, following reports that a man had been stabbed.

On arrival, officers from St George Police Area Command found a 26-year-old man had sustained a stab wound to the chest.

The injured man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to St George Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers have established a crime scene and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are continuing.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
