Police investigate suspicious fire, shot fired at Jugiong

Police are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage following two separate incidents in Jugiong, in the Southern Tablelands.

Strike Force Kularoo was established by The Hume Police District to investigate the incidents, which occurred over the past five days.

About 2am Friday (6 September 2019), a single shot was allegedly fired into the front door of a business on Riverside Drive, Jugiong.

Police attended the scene and established a crime scene, seizing a number of items for forensic examination.

About 12.50am yesterday (Tuesday 10 September 2019) police responded to reports of a fire at the same business on Riverside Drive, Jugiong.

A number of structures to the rear of the business were destroyed. No person was injured as a result of the fire.

Police are calling for anyone with dashcam footage or CCTV in or around the Jugiong area, including anyone travelling on the Hume Highway in the vicinity of those times, to contact Yass Police Station on (02) 6226 9399 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
