Police investigate suspicious house fire at Narromine

Police are appealing for information from the community after a home was destroyed by fire in the state's Central West yesterday.

About 4.45am (Monday 8 June 2020), emergency services responded to reports of a house fire on Merilba Street, Narromine.

The blaze was extinguished by NSW Fire & Rescue; however; the house was completely destroyed.

The home was vacant at the time and no injuries were reported.

Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.

The fire is being treated as suspicious.

As investigations continue, police are urging anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the area that evening to come forward.
