Police investigating after shots fired - Punchbowl

Police are investigating following a public place shooting in Sydney's west overnight.

Just before 8.20pm yesterday (Tuesday 22 September), police were called to the intersection of Heath and Rose streets, Punchbowl, following reports shots had been fired.

Police have been told an unknown man – accompanied by another man – fired shots in the direction of a moving car on Heath Street before getting into another car.

Both vehicles left the scene.

Officers from Campsie Police Area Command established a crime scene and are investigating the incident.

As part of inquiries, they're appealing for anyone with information to contact police.
