Police investigating firearm incident at Spearwood

Fremantle Detectives are seeking information regarding a firearm incident in Spearwood last night, Friday 30 August 2019.

About 9:20pm Police were called in relation to an incident at a residence in Bardolph Road, in which it was reported shots had been fired.

Several police units were deployed to the address, and upon arrival a 41-year-old man was located outside a neighbouring residence with a gunshot wound to one of his legs. He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance.

At this time, based on information provided to Police, the incident does not appear to be a random incident and there are no concerns for broader public safety.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
