Police investigating shooting incident at Robina

Detectives are investigating after two men were seriously assaulted at a residence in Robina this morning.

Around 11.40am three men forced their way into a Pymble Place house before a 27-year-old male resident sustained a gunshot wound to his jaw.

A 29-year-old male resident was also struck in the back of the head with a hammer.

The three men left the scene in a small black car.

Both men were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police declared a crime scene at the property and investigations into the incident are continuing.
