Police investigating stolen motor vehicle and three vehicle crash

Police have two youths in custody following a traffic incident in Bridgewater this afternoon.

Around 12:45pm a Toyota Corolla was stolen from Hopkins Street, Moonah. The vehicle was seen by police a short time later travelling on the Brooker Highway.

The vehicle was successfully spiked by police near Rusts Road in Granton.

It continued northbound and went across the Bridgewater Bridge, where it collided with an oncoming vehicle. A third vehicle was also involved in the crash.

The two youths in the offending vehicle were apprehended by police.

The drivers and passengers of the two other vehicles did not sustain significant injuries.

Enquiries are ongoing.
